Ingredients
  

  • ΒΌ cup soy sauce
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 3 tablespoons minced fresh ginger root
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon prepared Dijon-style mustard
  • Ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup olive oil

Method
 

  1. Whisk together soy sauce, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, honey, Dijon mustard, and black pepper in a small bowl until thoroughly combined.
  2. While whisking constantly, gradually add oil in a thin, steady stream until completely incorporated and dressing is emulsified.
  3. Transfer to a glass jar with a tight lid and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to develop.

Notes

  • For authentic hibachi-style dressing, add 2-3 tablespoons of finely grated carrot.
  • Shake well before each use as natural separation may occur.
