Cook pasta according to package directions, adding 1 teaspoon salt to the boiling water.
Drain pasta and rinse with cold water to cool.
Transfer pasta to a large bowl and add 1/3 cup pickle juice. Let sit while preparing other ingredients.
Chop pickles and cheese into small cubes. Finely chop the onion.
Drain the pasta again and return to the bowl.
Add pickles, cheese, and onion to the pasta.
In a separate bowl, mix mayonnaise, sour cream, 1/3 cup pickle juice, dill, salt, and pepper.
Pour dressing over pasta mixture and stir to combine well.
Serve immediately or refrigerate for 1-2 hours for best flavor.
