  • 3/4 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chives minced
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Equipment

  • Medium mixing bowl
  • Whisk
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Airtight container for storage

Method

  1. Combine mayonnaise, buttermilk, and sour cream in a medium bowl and whisk until smooth.
  2. Add lemon juice, garlic powder, onion powder, dried dill, and dried parsley. Whisk to combine.
  3. Fold in minced fresh chives.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. If the dressing is too thick, add additional buttermilk one tablespoon at a time until desired consistency is reached.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving for best flavor.

Notes

  • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
  • Shake well before using as separation is natural.
  • For a healthier version, substitute Greek yogurt for the sour cream.
