  • 4 large Honeycrisp apples cubed
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • cup mayonnaise
  • tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 ribs celery thinly sliced
  • 1 cup seedless red grapes halved
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • ½ cup dried cranberries

Equipment

  • Large mixing bowl
  • Small bowl for dressing
  • Cutting board and sharp knife

Method

  1. Toss the cubed apples with the lemon juice in a large bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the apples, celery, grapes, pecans, and cranberries to the bowl with the dressing.
  4. Gently fold everything together until evenly coated.
  5. Cover and chill for at least 30 minutes before serving to allow flavors to blend.

Notes

  • Apple varieties: Honeycrisp works best, but Pink Lady, Gala, Fuji, or Braeburn also work well.
  • For a lighter version, substitute Greek yogurt for half of the mayonnaise.
  • Add a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg for warm fall flavors.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days in the refrigerator.
