Ingredients
  

  • 6-8 slices bacon
  • 1 large head broccoli chopped into small florets
  • 1 head cauliflower chopped into small florets
  • ½ small red onion diced
  • ¼ cup dried cranberries
  • ¼ cup roasted salted sunflower seeds
  • ¾ cup mayonnaise
  • 1½-2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
  • 1½-2 tablespoons sugar
  • to taste Sea salt and freshly cracked black pepper
  • teaspoon garlic powder
  • teaspoon dried dill

Method
 

  1. Mix mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dill in a bowl to make the dressing. Set aside.
  2. Cook bacon until crispy, drain on paper towels, then chop into bits.
  3. Combine broccoli, cauliflower, onion, and cranberries in a large bowl.
  4. Add half of the dressing and toss to coat evenly.
  5. Refrigerate for 30-60 minutes to allow flavors to develop.
  6. Just before serving, add sunflower seeds and bacon bits, plus additional dressing if desired.
  7. Toss again and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For best results, add bacon and sunflower seeds just before serving to maintain crispness.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
